Check Charging System

I was able to take a look under the hood this morning. There seemed to be a smaller wire that was loose on the alternator. I plugged it all the way in and so far, there have been zero issues.

I know this is over a year old, but did it solve the problem? My 2005 just started doing this (Not with the same frequency and extent) when starting/pulling away from a standstill stop. The battery light flickers and "Check Charging System" message flickers for a half of a second. I've glanced under the hood, but honestly haven't done much. I'll do it this weekend. Any updates are appreciated.

*Update* Not sure why I never updated this, but it turned out to be both the battery and the alternator. Changed them both out and haven't had an issue since!

So i'm looking at a price for an alternator...not sure which to good with. New or reman? Brand?

If you don't want to spend the money for a Motorcraft get a NEW Bosch.

Mine only goes off when it is started after already warmed up.
