I have a 2005 explorer. The "Check Charging System" message is on. The battery checks at 12.6 volts when engine is off. I have been driving it for three days so apparently my alternator is charging. Is there anything else in charging system to look at. Thanks for any suggestions. This is a very informative site.

The light is controlled by the PCM, which gets its signal from the plastic connector at the alternator.

I'd start with inspecting the connector and having a load test performed on the battery.

Get a $10 DVM at Harbor Freight. The battery should read ~14 volts when the engine is idling after you first start it. If it is still at 12.6v then the alternator is likely bad.

LOL, I don't use those. Mine has Duty-Cycle which I need for working on some older pre-OBDII cars.

I'm sure those Craftsman's are made in china too. If you want a real meter you have to get a Fluke.
