Hi, I just bought a 95 exp. Check engine light comes on and stays on after about 10 minutes of driving. I don't see any change in driving. I changed spark pluges, air and oil filter, but it's still there. I currently get about 260 miles average for 20 gallons.
Most of the posts I read about this suggested that at the end DPFE has to be replaced. Can this be true in this situation?

Thanks for the time

The only way to know will be to "pull the codes" (manuals call this performing the quick test or self diagnostic tests) and perform the appropriate "circuit" or "pinpoint" tests. The quick test can be performed with only a jumper wire (the codes are output as flashes of the CEL). See www.dalidesign.com/hbook/eectest.html for instructions on performing these diagnostic tests.

Based on what you said, it sounds like a bad O2 sensor.
But that's an educated guess, to know for sure you're going to have to pull the code.

Thanks, I'll try to pull it

I'm going to use that simlpe wiring-input to output- method to pull the codes.

Guys where is the o2 sensor?

Guys I want to know where the O2 sensor is and if you have any idea about the price. Thanks a lot

Got the code.EGR sensor voltage out of range

I took it to autozone and they pulled out this code 335 EGR sensor voltage out of range So what is the next step ? is it pointing to O2 sensor or DPFE?

Thanks for your time

i would try the dpfe sensor. i had a similiar problem a couple of weeks ago. read alot of threads on the subject and it seems this sensor sucks.(my opinion) i didnt notice any change in gas milage or running condition either. so the sensor would be my guess.
