Check Engine and Battery Lights--Whats Wrong???

I need Help!
Yesterday I noticed that my check engine light was going on and off. Then this morning it went on after about twenty minutes of driving. I noticed that if I am stopped and hit the gas, the battery light comes on. Does anyone have an idea what is wrong and how to fix it?

Otherwise are you noticing any other electrical problems such as lights flickering, dimming, or the voltage gauge fluctuating? If there are other manifestations of loss of power, I'd guess your battery or alternator is going out. If all you get is the lights and no other problems, I'd see if you can hook the truck up to a code reader and pull a code.

I am pretty sure that there are no other electrical problems. My lights seem fine and so does my radio.
