Check engine light goes on and off

I have a 92 explorer that I have added a KKM,BBK and FLOWMASTER. I have drove it for around 500 miles with no problem but the other day the check engine light came on. it comes on after driving highway speeds for 5 miles or so above 55 mph, drop it below and it will go off for alittle while then come back on for awhile then go back off. Also stays off in city driving. What could cause this? Thanks and HAPPY 4TH!!

Too many things to just guess at. You need to pull the codes.

I had similar problems a couple times. The first time it was a dirty MAF. The second time it was my DPFE sensor going out. Start by retrieving and interpreting the CEL codes (link below) and your problem should become obvious. If not, post your results.

The best advice is to pull the codes so that you won't have to guess what the problem is.
