I have put in over $1k into this truck....full-on tune-up (replacing wires...everything), then just replaced BOTH heads, and the 'check engine' light is illuminating...took it back to mechanic, he checked it, the code referall was all simple things, like...'check air filter', he checked everything, and the light went off.....2 days later...same thing...light back on. The truck seems ok to me. All gauges/fluid levels good (if anything, she runs 'cool'), no leaks/smells/noises. Performance sucks if you ask me. I don't dare 'pass' a car, and don't get behind me on a hill, the truck acts like an old truck, rather than a '03. Please offer any and all advice. I have a loooong commute.:(

What is the exact alphanumeric trouble code now? (The code will be of the form Pxxxx, not a worded description.)

Which engine do you have?

You might want to change the fuel/gas filter. Had that problem after taking a trip. Changed filter and it did not come back

change fuel filter(Although that should b changed durring tune up. Check your write up to see if they replaced it.) Also try cleaning your MAF sensor, maybe change o2 sensor? What motor do you have????4.0 or 4.6???? I can give you a better idea if you let me know. What is the code exactly. Like numbers and letters for example,

"PO174"- bank 2 running lean

if we know the code we can narrow it down.....ALOT more

Yeah- post up the code before you start replacing parts.
