I just went to get my truck smogged and it failed. It pass the emissions part but failed because the check engine light didn't work. Is there a way to check that light or force it to come one? I can't remember if it lights up when you turn the key to on? I'd rather not tear the cluster out if I don't have to.
What was also odd was that they didn't hook anything up to the engine. The guy plugged the smog tester into the OBD port & the sniffer in the tail pipe. First time I've ever seen that.
