Did they pull it off or something, it’s not like you can tell just from looking at it.

Maybe you could youse a heat gun and UN warp it LOL, Still don’t see how this would case a Check engine light.

You will probably need to get ford to scan it and see why it’s on.

My airbag light has been on for 2 month’s, I am just ignoring it. It’s a frontal crash sensor or the clock spring ether way I can’t be bothered dealing with at the moment LOL.

A vacuum leak causes your engine to run lean.

manifold

yea they told him it was warped or the o rings were stuffed but they replaced it anyway 690 aus dollars i had a look and it was straight as so i dont know wether to trust them with mine .it was range ford aussie at maddo u know if they r any good??

No sense in quessing. Get the codes pulled. Anyone with an OBDII reader can pull them in 5 minutes.

No, don’t know em, exeltee.

$690 for a plastic manifold, that’s little rich, then agene I have heard that people have been quoted $1100 per side for the front wheel bearings, they cost like $450 for the set in the US.

I would go to ford get them to pull the code and tell you what is causing it and the cost of the part to fix it then get on the Net and see how much you can buy if for from the U.S almost guaranteed you will get it a chit load cheaper too.

I.E, I got the Mogg Upper control arms and Lower ball joint’s from the U.S For $600AUS including shipping, Didn’t even get a price from Ford as it would have been $1000 minimum I reckon, going on the prices of other parts, that and they would of tried to flog me 2 new lower control arm's as well.

A CEL only means the computer has sensed something out of the norm. The list of possibles runs into the hundreds. Without getting the code that set the light off, you are making a guess at which of those many things it might be. In other words, you need to get the code. Code readers are not expensive. On the first generations, you can pull the codes using a paperclip. I am giong to move this thread to the computers forum where you can find out how, and get more information.
