Check Engine Light ????

My Check Engine Light is turnin' on ... I have a 98' Sport SOHC . My Check engine light has turned twice in the last month . I have diconnected the battery both times and it turns off for a good 800mi. Ford told me the compuer is probably getting a reading of a mis- fire .. But why???? When it turns on it does't blink, but stays on constant... I'm hopin' it's a fouled plug or bad spark plug ,does that sound right??????? Pleaze HELP!

How many miles on it? The O2 sensors have a habit of going after about 50K. You can always have the codes read next time it happens for a definite answer.

I've got 52k .. How much are they to replace?? Can it be done at home ,w/o to many problems ...THNX for the help......

I won't give you an answer on how much these are but can tell you that you can replace these yourself. The only thing is that it might be a few different things that can cause your Check Engine light to come on. Better scan the computer first to make sure you're replacing the right part,
