this is just a stupid little problem that is most likely nothing but getting real annoying. Everytime i have less than 1/4 tank of gas my check engine light goes on. I fill up the tank to full and drive around for awhile, it turns off. Any clues? is it supposed to do that? Could it be something else?

Have you pulled the OBD II trouble code(s) that are triggering the CEL to illuminate?

You sure its the check engine and not the check gage light? If it is the check engine, probably throwing a code based on the pressure in the gas tank. May have a slow leak from the evap tubes or from the gas cap. Having the exact code it throws would narrow down possibilities tremendously.

i had it tested when it first started doing it and all that came up was the front O2 sensor had a slow reaction time. That was the only problem it read, maybe ill just go and have them test it again or something

Without the code(s) trying to diagnose the situation is just a crap shoot.

Good luck ....
