I have a 91 navajo, the question I have is the check engine light comes on, after about 20 miles everyday. I have replaced the o2 snsor, flushed the engine twice, new plugs, wires, belts, and gaskets. I took it and had a scanner hooked up to it, and nothing. any advice would be great- thanks

Your EGR position sensor is going to most likely be the problem.

Have you ever heard of a 'hego' switch, another scan today, showed pcv valve, on a 174c scan, also to rechange the oil, where the oil could be contaminated, supposed to retest after upgrading these parts, but will not be 100% could it possibly be a sludge buildup, seems like there is a small job with a long time to do it?!? what do you think?? thabks

HEGO - Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen, before standarizaion that was the ford name for an O2 sensor, the switch that you mention is what the O2 sensor wire plugs into. If the light comes on there HAS to be an engine code, 3-digits, have you got that pulled from the ecu yet?

man, you know your stuff!! I never thought of that, but i have not checked the ecu yet, the mechanic i took it too said he never heard of a hego sensor, but wouldnt the replacement of the 02 sensor take care of that problem?he said the pcv sensor is shot
