Check engine: oil change?

My check engine light came on today, i also noticed im 6 miles over my nxt oil change thats due and thats when it came on. Could this be the problem? Everythings running okay

Deferred oil change won't turn on CEL it. If your X is equipped with a message center, it will tell you there, but that's all. There is a problem with your engine; hopefully very small. Have it scanned for trouble codes (Autozone and such do it for free). Post numeric code(s) here if you need further advice.
