When I started up my car and started to drive, I noticed that when ever I was at low speeds or stopped my car would shake pretty hard. It felt like it was coming from under the hood and then when I got up to about 45mph the check engine light came on. So I brought it back down to about 25 and it went away. The violent shaking only went away when I was going faster. Also, I rolled down the window and it smelled like something was burning but i couldnt see any smoke. Please help me. (I'm taking it to the Ford dealer later, but I was hoping you guys could help).

get to an Autozone or other and get the check engine light checked (even if it's off it will tell you what it was/is). Come back here and search for the code....if you can't find anything of significance, post back in this thread and let us know what you've got...

I went to Auto Zone and they said it was misfiring in cylinder 3. I replaced the spark plug and it still is shaking and running poorly. What do you think spark plug wires or ignition coil?

Hard to tell from this side of the PC...not sure of the possible tests that could be done to check either of these items. Maybe check the wire for continuity & OBvious damage...not sure about the coil, though
