Check Fuel Cap???

I have a 2005 Sport Trac, I keep getting the check fuel cap light coming on, then the check engine light. I have replaced the fuel cap twice, when I check the codes it says evap system leak. I cannot find any hoses or anything disconnected, any help would be appreciated.

On my F150 I replaced the cap with a Stant cap but had to go back to Motorcraft to get a good seal. Check the lip of you filler neck for damage also.
