ok i want to change my spark plugs in my 97 sohc engine. however i've heard the contreversory about places saying the OHV plugs works for the SOHC engine.
i just wnat to make sure i'm not over looking anything.
first off double plats should be fine to put in all 6 spots right? because i heard ford put double plats on 3 and single plats on 3.
anyways
so i went to autozone.com and make a profile with 2 vechiles.
97 with OHV engine and
97 with SOHC engine
i then seached for spark plugs, under each of the different profiles.
i found this
97 OHV -BOSCH-PLATINUM 2 plugs PART NUMBER = 4304
and
97 SOHC Bosch platinum 2 plugs PART NUMBER = 4305
I noticed for many other plugs they had the same part number for the OHV and SOHC.
so those should be a correct way reference the way i see it...i'm gonna stop by, and compare because i remember reading that the OHV ones are about 1/4 inch shorter...i'll see if that looks like the case.
If you see any errors in my logic to finding the part number for plugs i should by please let me know
thanks
