Here is what I just put in my new Sport. I got the Kenwood KVT910-DVD for the HU. It is full DTS with 5.1 surround. I faded the center to the front speakers since a center channel in a car is impossable. (I plan on putting two screens in the head rests for the passengers as well.) I have a PS2 that I just installed in the armrest. Then I have Rockford Fosgate Fanatic Q 6.5 components in the doors and in the rear, 10 HE2 sub in the rear pannel. For power I have a 600.4 amp for the components, and 800.2 for the sub. Used a 1 Farad cap with 2 awg with a 100 amp circuit breaker. I also put in 165square feet of Dynomat Xtreme, everywhere, doors, roof, side pannels, floor, hood, and back fenders.

When I made the list of things I want my system to do I thought of this. I Mountan bike and carry my bikes inside the Exp so I did not want to loose any cargo space. I love stealth installs that are clean and not gheeto! And I wanted Loud and clear sound. Not a ton of bass but good solid sound, high-highs and low-lows.

Here is some of the Dynomat

This is the Rear components in the stock location with a custom plate.

Also the Amps are mounted behind each rear pod. One on each side. They are compleatly steath. In this pic you can see two of the silver mounting straps used to hang them.

Here is the sub being hooked up.

Some of the Dynomat in the door. We put it inside and on the skin.

Here you can see the front components, same 6.5 Fanatic Q's as seen in the rear.

This is the sub woofer, all finished. I have a blue neon in the top that glows at night. I will get a picture of it soon.

This is the rear with out the cover, Bling-Bling. (I do keep the grill on it this is just to show you.)

I will also get pics of the DVD and PS2 soon and post them. They were installed after the speakers and amp.

By far one the best BEST most INVOLVED setups i've ever seen!

BRAVO to you! Nice pictures!!

I'm sure it turned out awesome!

-astonished

The pics are just showing up as a box with a red X but ti seems that the other guy can see it. What's my problem? any clue?

sirhk100 - go to his website instead, the pics there are better there anyway!

Blue Flair - what kind of dynamat did you use? i just picked up some imatation brand dynamat thats 0.07 thickness. Hopefully it will do the job. I know the dynamat orginal is the same thickness. Before i open this stuff, is it really worth it? Your pics inspired me to do the doors and possibly the cargo area if there is a *dramatic* improvement in road noise and sound quality of my stereo hookup. Let me know what you think.

SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is tight! That's the most Dyno Mat I've seen in a vehicle. How much did all the Dyno Matting set you back? Is that a single 10" in the rear? How's that sound? I eventually want to go to a stealth box and get rid of my bandpass box for my 12" sub

Can I rent a room in that X?

one word: AMAZING! that looks absolutely amazing, but i think you might have gone a little out of control with the camera, heh. and this one here is my personal favorite:

mvc-017s.jpg

ive only seen more dynamat than that on one other vehicle, my friends 1984 bmw, but he killed that car...end of story.

keep up the good work :)

How much did the whole set-up cost you?
You did it all yourself right?

How did you fit the component sets. Is there a plate you can buy that will hold the 6.25 and the tweeter? Is that a Q-logic box for the sub and how does that sub sound in it?
Thanks, your system is amazing!
Rob

ok89 I work at Best Buy part-time like 8 hours a week for the discount. I LOVE the discount. The entire system with install would have been $7200.00 Retail. However with my discount I was able to do everything for $2800.00 including the DVD and PS2. I sell computers there but I have installed many a systems before. However, I took advantage of our install bay and the GREAT guys that install there everyday. I worked with them through the whole hookup. With all the right tools and little stuff that I don't have lying arround in my garage it went really smooth. I don't know how many of those interior clips I have broken in the past using a flathead screwdriver to pop them off. With 4 of us it took all day Saturday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The guy just did Dynomat all day Saturday.

Rob2000XLT We made a plate out of abs plastic for the components and cut the pod to accept the speakers. Yes, that is a Q-logic box the sub lives in. It sounds great. The guy in from Car-Fi said he wishes that he could get his to sound that good on the floor. It is loud and clear.

Thank you for the feedback!Dead Link Removed

FitzMatt That is bad ass!! What's the total wattage now (w/out distortion)

I have never had any distortion what so ever. I turn it up and it starts to hurt my ears. I have stood outside with the remote. With the windows up you can barly hear it outside. No Rattles! With the windows down it is really loud.

Thanks everyone for your feedback!
