What's up fellow X owners! I'm new to the board but have been watching it for a while now. I'm freakin' astonished to have found such an awesome board with peeps like me wanting a more "sport custom" look for their Explorer...It's great to be here!!!!!

Now that I'm done ****tin a brick with my intro....

I've also found the BEST looking front spoiler/airdam I've seen yet! Check it out at: http://www.elcaminoss.com/hc airdams.htm

scroll down a bit on that page, and you'll see it... pretty cheap compared to all the others I've seen, and it's not as ugly...lol For $159 I've got a date with it soon. Just thought I'd share with everyone, let me know your opinions on the style! If you see a spoiler more hotter than this one, let me know, I haven't seen too many good ones for the late model X's such as my '97 EB (bonestock at the moment). I was initially looking for saleen type, but none around that I know of.

After I sell my snake I'm gonna hook my X up with the royal treatment..lol Prolly not as good as most of you have to begin with, but we'll see. I still have alot to learn. Most of you guys have some hot rides going on there! Keep up the *****in' work.

Dave

ps. sorry for the long read, lol

welcome to the site....

i think it looks great.

i dont know of many places that carry accessories for our explorers, but maybe someone else can post a few links.

I like it :P

94-98 huh? I always thought that the 95 and up was the newer look? (lol)

That might be my next investment. It would look sweet now that my Xploder is lowered.

Anyone think that might be able to fit on a 93? even with some mods?

if it will fir a 94... i see no reason to why it wouldnt fit 91+ the bumpers are the same.....

I'm sure the site just has the years off a little. The rest of the site sells mostly Monte Carlo and El Camino parts. And I doubt that it would fit the first body Explorer without some major, major construction/destruction. Maybe if you mounted a '95 bumer on your older Ex, then the spoiler would fit for sure. But I don't think anybody has managed that yet either.

It also looks similar to one I saw in the Explorer Express catalog.

How much do they want for this one? It looks evil!! (The EE one is $219.)

thta looks like a xenon kit.. I must say on the X it doesn't look good at all to me.. looks kinda.. goofy or somethin,I dunno, hard to explain

i really like the EE one. i was thinking about getting it on mine

here it is on ony of my friends explorers

its pretty sick looking...maybe when i get the money ill go for it.. :)

i think a better investment would be to get a bumper from bumpers.com. they are $350 and then you could have the 99-01 look, looks better IMO.

well i could probably get one for like $200, so Id rather get that one...

looks great. it makes your friends explorer look mean.
$200 well spent.

Espn... why pay $350 for a "blemished" bumper? I don't understand, plus it prolly only fits the years it's specified for only, so you can't go for the newer look with those without modifying them to fit. IMO, that's way to much to be spending on just a front bumper, now if it was like the Saleen XP-8 style, then that's another story.

Diablo... that's the look I'm going for exactly. Which bumper are you referring to for $200? The same one as your friends and the one I posted? How you figure $200? It's posted on that site for $159, unless you're referring to a different one.

I really like some of these aftermarket spoilers most places have for the F-150/Expedition. They look much more cooler! It's just too bad these places are too lazy to make an application for our Explorers.

I lean more to the ones that have more of an 'aerodynamic' look to them! It really compliments the vehicle nicely.

really? 159? hmm I don't know he has the same one. Some guy made it for him, he had a mold. He might have given me a price painted though, not really sure...anyway I didn't go for it yet because I am kinda low on cash now and just starting back to school again...

I just thought I would bring this one back to life because I had a few questions someone might be able to help me with...

I was looking around on the Ranger forum and there was a guy who took a 93-97 Ranger 4x4 air dam (the one with the big holes) and put it on his 89-92 Ranger (the ones that share the front clip as the early Explorers). I am curious to know if anyone knows if I did the same mods to it, would I be able to get it to fit on my 93?
