Have the shop that fixed it write up what they think was the fluid and what they did to fix it and have all documents dated accuratly. that way if the trans fails in the future you can bring it to court and have documents stating that a tire service place put the wrong fluid in that caused premature faliure. Im pretty sure the "good shop" wont have a problem doing it for you.
I learned this the other day in law enforcement school. just an idea that could help

I hear what you are saying but with 130k on my rig it is going to be about impossible to prove that it failed due to the wrong fluid as opposed to its age and mileage. I will have it paid off in 6 months so if my tranny will hold out that long I will be happy with it. It seems to be fine now so I am hopeful that it did no permanent damage.
