Thanks for the site...this place is an awesome resource.
Just wanted to say that my Explorer has two issues:
1. The dreaded "chirp" of death. (i.e. The Camshaft Position Sensor and its connected drive gear component)
2. The drivers side door wont unlock reliably. (I found that little broken spring in the latch assembly)
Now, thanks to you guys, you have probably saved me about a week without my truck and most likely over a thousand dollars in parts and labor. This is especially true regarding the CPS replacement. So, as my thanks to you all, I am going to venture out and...and...and...REPLACE THEM MYSELF!. Stand back, things might get ugly. Also, I am going to fully document each job for you guys (with pics) so that others may learn. I have ordered the latch assembly already and am just about to order the CPS assembly. So watch this post, in the next couple of weeks, things should get interesting.
