Chirping Sound

My compressor clutch makes a "chick, chick, chick" sound (like a quiet scrape), but "bird chirps" sound belt-like to me too. Belt tensioner bearing maybe?

I'm going to go out on a limb here (Because this sound occured with all other 3 1st gens I owned) and say that either your idler pulley or tensioner pulley is going out and the grinding bearings cause a chirping sound.

If its not the belt, then its the pulleys. Fortunately they are cheap and super easy to replace with the radiator in the X.

Could also be a bad bearing in your alternator--it chirps also.

my 95 makes a chirping sound, only when it is warmerd up, going about 20 or below mph, but whne i tap the brakes, it stops than starts when i let go of the brakes?
