Santa loaded up the back of the Explorer for me to take the goodies home.

Unfortunately he covered them with a blanket, and closed the liftgate..and the blanket stuck in the latch. Now I can't get the liftgate open, and I can't even pull the blanket out from the back of the truck.

How do I get this thing open again?

OMG!

This has to be the only time ever that one of these Envoy XUV's with the retractable roof would have come in handy- to rescue Christmas!!!! :D

Dude- if you have to, sawzall that thing open and ask for a new Ex before Santa comes...

Seriously- if there isn't a trip like gman said, you may need to get the rear trim off somehow and remove parts if it's bound that tightly... Maybe a trip to a body shop if you can't figure it out. :(

Well, the good thing is my child is 4, so the things were small and could go through the liftgate glass.

I'll deal with it after tomorrow. I'll look for that piece and go from there. Thanks for the suggestions!

Good luck- both with the Ex, and with Christmas morning with a 4yo... Mine is 5, so I can relate. I've already staged Tylenol around the house for myself... :D

I've got a 5 y/o too. Have fun tomorrow, both of you (1 minute until Xmas here in MST).
