On Friday I came into work a little late and I saw a guy working on a CJ-7. I was very interested in it, so I went over and took a gander before I started working on a pretty much "re-heading" a Ford V-10 (very rare IMO). Anyway, I noticed it had the little crappy 150 CI 4cyl in it and I asked what was going on with it. The customer wanted to restore it; unfortunantly back to origional. We've had a few restorations come through our shop: Bronco II, old Vettes, SS Chevelles, Shelby Cobras, and now this CJ-7. Most of the vehicles that have been restored have had about a 302 or larger. I believe the Bronco had a 302, along with one cobra. Anyway, the customer wants to put back a 150 4cyl in it.
I was a little upset; but hey - It's not mine. I then had to help the guy look up some stuff for it on Alldata, and we noticed that a few CJ-7s came with a 360 CI engine stock. My mouth dropped. I would love to see one of those things. I've driven the Bronco II with the 302 and that thing is actually pretty quick - but a lighter vehicle like the CJ-7 with a 360 in it; I might even be scared.
Reasoning behind this post? Some vehicles aren't suppose to be retored to origional condition!

Ps- the fastest vehicle I've been in so far is a Dodge SRT-10 or a Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo. Both extremely quick!
