Hello all - I searched the forums and found instructions on cleaning the MAF and IAC - well I did this yesterday, and now my check engine light is on, and my idle is very low to a point it wants to stall - Any suggestions? It was running a lot better before i did this, matter of fact it was smooth, but figured it's been awhile and would go ahead and clean the MAF/IAC - Your help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

First off, what are the codes? Did you replace the IAC gasket if not was it in good shape?
If you are not careful sometimes the MAFS can get messed up when cleaning. Make sure the electrical connectors are seated properly and securley.

You could attempt to re-clean and lube the IAC with some wd-40. FWIW I would replace it.

You probablly already did this but, diconnect the battery for 10 minutes to let the computer reset.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses; i went and had my check engine codes read, i did unplug the battery for 30 min, but the light came back on - the codes pointed to my EGR valve and IAC - I went ahead and replaced my IAC and we are back in the saddle again. :) Thanks for all your help.
