Cleaning of a K&N Air Filter?

I've looked all over their website and can't find anything. I looked on KKM's website and they offer a cleaning kit for $13 (im assuming has everything i need plus instructions and such), and i've searched these forums and couldnt find anything regarding cleaning an air filter. maybe i searched the wrong words or something, i dont know. But can someone point me in a direction of how i would go about cleaning the air filter and getting it oiled up and whatnot? Also cleaning the MAF too? I found the thread about the IAC valve and i plan on doing that too, but my priority right now is the air filter.

You can pick up the K & N cleaning kit at most auto parts stores. Complete directions are included.
