i'm planning on cleaning up my dirty engine next wednesday. i've read the posts on cleaning the IAC valve and i'm planning on doing that as well. i also would like to clean the throttle body and take the intake manifold off as well and clean it. any suggestions on the cleaning or what type of cleaner to use?

NOT carb and choke cleaner Its too powerful I would just get some BG intake spray and hold it up and do that.. I would take off the tb and clean it up and do it that way your gettin into alot of work and I don't honestly see it helping anything I'd clean iac and tb and let the rest alone just my .02

i used mass air flow cleaner on all my stuff when i had to do the intake gaskets at the end of last winter. havent had a problem since.

There is nothing you have listed where you can't use CRC BrakeKleen or carb cleaner. I prefer BrakeKleen in the red can for everything. It's strong and cuts grease well without harming anything and dries almost instantly with no residue. It can be used to clean your MAF sensor wire safely. It's a tech's best friend and be bought cheap at Walmart of all places.
