dont know the legal issues but I do know you can get em cheaper on Ebay.

Not legal by DOT regulations. Usually the rule is not enforced but could be and usually by the Highway Patrol. Save the stockers and exchange at inspection time if you don't know anyone.

i have those on my X. not sure if theyre illegal or not, but im in IL, and I only got stopped once b/c my red bulb covers had burned through so my brake lights were showing white instead of red. I love those lights tho.
