It started out kinda quiet, but now it's much louder. I'm not sure if it's CV joints or not (are there CV joints?), but there is a loud clicking when I turn the vehicle, especially when going slow. Sometimes I hear it when the vehicle is going straight too. I can't hear it at higher, normal driving speeds, just when I'm going slow. Any idea what this might be? I had my tranny guy look at it when it was quieter, he said the tranny was fine (thought it might be the transfer case). I'm thinking about trading it in on a Navigator, but I'm not sure if I should fix this first...

i have an 02 V8 4x4 that was doing that. the tech thought it was a bad rear hub (as the noise was coming from the pass rear wheel). went to replace the hub and found the e-brake pads BROKE. not cool. replaced pads, fixed. the noise was coming at slow speeds, especially while turning.

Wow, I'll check that. Thanks. I've NEVER used the emergency brake on this vehicle though...
