true...... something like this should not happen. Although I stand by my words..... if something falls off your truck it's partially your fault too. I think it might be called negligence. You can't just assume (and we do this a lot) that someone somewhere made sure everything on our trucks will do just fine and we don't have to check on it. **** happens though without us knowing about it anyway. I agree - It'll be hard to check if the cable is fine without thorough inspection and..... honest? - I don't think we have to do it before each trip. Oh no! Me? after every off road trip my truck goes through a "very fine" inspection... and service. Why? well, just because I don't want something to just fall off because I tore it on the trail.
BTW - I still remember that early Chrysler vans had the same problem - spare falling off..... don't know how they took care of the problem...... but knowing Chrysler products (more recalls than anybody else) I think they took care of it rather quickly.
here, that's my explanation....... and I didn't just pick on you because you're not a moderator....... I'm just a type of guy that can't sit quiet when I see people whine/////// me.... just plain me, I don't know.
