I know there are some posts out there but csnt find them for the life of me.

I have an issue when going into gear, especially from a cold start younget a really loud clunk.

I believe it has to do with some time of nut that needs to be removed, greased and retightened.

Is there a TSB on this? Any help in finding the fix is appreciated as it goes back in on Thursday for some fixes.

Is the clunk from the transmission or is it the real wheel hub clunk? If it's the rear wheel I believe it's the axel nut that needs to be replaced and retorqed.

It's hard to say. Sounds like it's coming from the center to rear of the area. When it actually goes into gear, that's when you hear the loud clunk.

I'd describe it as if there was some slop in the drives haft and putting it in gear makes it bang to an extent.

I'll get a video of it as it's easily duplicated but again, mainly when it's from a cold start.

I just want to walk in with the info because the last time it was there about 6 weeks ago, they did a software update to fix some harsh downshift (mainly 3 - 2 downshift). They said both issues were resolved from that but the clunk still exists.

The shifting has been flawless since the update. I did see a TSB for clunking and it said if no DTCs, replace the Main valve body. Just not sure if that's my issue or not.

14 second mark is the loud clunk when going into gear from Park on a cold start.

I've seen posts where the rear axle spines need to be lubed to solve the noise. I'm not able to find it right now.
