Clunking noise when going into D or R

I had my u-joints replaced, but there is a clunking noise when going into drive or reverse. Since I know its not the U-joints, what could it be, tranny

I found there were loose bolts in the cross member at the rear of the tranny. Very large bolts. After I tightened no more clunk. Maybe? Maybe not. takes 1 minute to check.
