When the wheel is turned left or right, stationary or moving there is a clunk that is heard and felt in the steering wheel. The clunk is followed by a vibration sound. I just replaced the right forward sway link which had failed and detached from the bottom. The clunk is still happening.

Sounds like strut bearings.

so does that mean I should replace both struts?

I'd make a trip to the dealer when you can and show them what its doing. Without actually hearing your noise its hard to tell. I've had bad strut bearings doing what you're describing but it really should be diagnosed by the dealer.

How many miles are on your Ex?
