Anyone else have this noise? Seems that it only does it if the torque converter is in lock up and I lift the throttle. Kinda like a U-joint clunk but I'm pretty sure mine are fine. It makes no noise when I get back into the throttle. Sounds like it's coming from the case itself, or at least close to it. I would think a bad joint would make noise on lift and getting back on the throttle. Is this normal?

Maybe the "grease the slip joint" problem...?

Good idea, I'll try that. Hadn't heard of it.

That won't work on mine. I forgot that the Expedition shaft that I now have is solid. Only slipjoint on it is where it enters the t-case. Maybe a little clunk is normal for these cases. Can anyone give me some peace of mind if it is? If not, it's still under warranty and I'll go get another one before it expires.
