My 04 has a clunk when braking...maybe downshifting?? It's when you're almost to a stop. Any similar problems or ideas?

I get the same thing frequently. I keep thinking it's the bearings, but I have yet to replace them. I might just take it to the shop to confirm that's what it is before I spend $$ on new hubs.....

I was told that it was probably a slip yoke or a badly worn rear end

It'c coming from further back. Seems like it might be under thedrivers seat or back. It seems like the transfer case or something.

while the truck is sitting still, shift between drive and reverse.. if you hear the clunk then it's in the drivetrain somewhere.. i suspect it isn't though.
