Front steering knuckle? Like a CV joint?

Front steering knuckle? Like a CV joint?
Noise is coming from rear sounds, and feels like around rear passenger side tire or in differential feels like have backed over something

Well,u-joints can clunk like the dickens, but since you said when it's turning, I figured front end noise. Check any axle mounts to the frame.
I certainly hope it's not the spider gears. Does it have limited slip? Could need rear end drained and cleaned and new fluid and limited slip compound added. don-ohio

It's weird,no noise on road at all, just when backing up or making hard right turn to park,it is a open differential, have changed fluid, didn't see any apparent damage inside differential, van only has 72,ooo miles on it,

I'm thinking U-joint. Check for any play at pinion.

Ok thanks,will check that out

My van makes that noise, I suspect in my case it is cause the rear upper arm has worn out bushings. It sounds like the axle is knocking on the floor.
