I have a 92 navajo i have a similar conditon to a few fellow explorers. We had a moderate snow shower the other day here in the north east and i engaged my 4x4
after about a minute or so i heard a loud clunk from the front end more to the drivers side about a minute later i heard it again. i was traveling 35 mph on highway snow covered road and it still continues. i have been off road before and never had this problem any help:redexp:

Sounds lke your auto-hubs took a dirt nap(dead). Get you a set of manual hubs, and never worry about this again.
