Okay guys, I'm new here..help me out please
I have a 1995 Explorer Sport. When I first purchased it, I noticed the back was clunking whenever I braked. I thought nothing of it..as it was a new car to me, and I wasn't familiar with the noises it made.
6 months after I bought it..I needed a new tranny. They rebuilt it, and 2600$ later My tranny was rebuilt..and the clunking stopped.
Now I am 10 000 km's later, and that clunking is back when I brake. It sounds like it's in the rear of the car..and its when I am approaching a full stop. Also my shifts are quite stiff, but I was told that was due to a shift kit that they installed for me when I had the tranny work done.
My good friend told me it sounds like my transmission mount/s...does this sound right? Or should I just take it back to the transmission shop..and get them to look as the Tranny is under warantee for another 10 000 km's.
Any help would be great!!!
