I'm looking for some guidance on tracking down an issue I've been having for a while with my 2001 ST 4x4. It's been annoying but I'm unsure if it is a sign of something bigger. While driving I hear a clunking/thumping coming from beneath the floorboards up near the pedals. I mostly hear this going over rough roads and bumps but not during normal driving. I've replaced all of the front suspension pieces, the steering rack and pump, tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joints on both sides, new upper control arms, new shocks, new wheel bearing/hub assemblies and sway bar end links, so I'm not sure what might be causing it. When I was changing stuff out, I did notice theres a lot of play in the front driveshaft, not sure if this is normal or not. Any ideas are appreciated.
