I resently replaced my DPFE sensor, which fixed the check eng lite and engine shaking. Now the truck seams to still be jerky. I've replaced clutches
on trucks, but they were already bad/non driveable. Never drove one that was going out. So my question is what are some of the signs that it's worn?
The signs that I'm having are the engine is really jerky on take off, or under load like going up a hill, or if I'm hitting the gas hard. I have 126,000 miles.
I have a feeling you are going to say the clutch is going, I just hope it makes
it till spring

a slipping clutch will rarely cause the engine to be jerky(as you describe it). Normally when a clutch starts to go, when your pulling out and giving it torque it will begin to slip, so you will see the RPM climb without the speed of the vehicle increasing in proportion. If you think it is slipping, pull out in 2nd gear and floor it. If the clutch is going, once the engine reaches it's peak torque the clutch will start to free spin under the heavy load.

Going back to my comments in your other thread,

Check fuel pressure, fuel filter, clean maf, when was the last tuneup?

Thanks for the clutch info. The biggest problem is when I start to go up hill from a stop
this is where it hesitates the most. As far as a tune up, I'm not sure the air cleaner is
about 5 months old, I've never changed the plugs but I was looking and it really doesn't
look that hard. Especialy after getting a $300 quote from a shop (do think so)
I'll get the tune up done here in the next week or so. Thanks again

success the plugs had about a 3/16 gap and #5 wire was toast changed them running great. Thanks for the help

Sweet Excellent !!! and Merry Christmas!!!
