I was wondering is anyone has installed a zf when doing their 5.0 conversion.
My problem is it seams like the clutch is blead out but dose not have enough trevel. Possibly because i used the Ranger master with the zf slave, same style different part#. Just wondering abought any solutions floating abought.
On a more positive note after almost two years I have driven it if only brefly:thumbsup::D. Granny low in the zf + np203 low+ np205 low= 97:1:eek:
= sick:D. Idled up the wood pile in my yard and maxed out the suspension like it wasent there. pics to come I promise

Did you disconnect the master from the firewall, and tilt it so there's no airbubble trap? Ford clutches are a ***** to bleed regardless.

Serious drivetrain you got goin' there. I would love a ZF in mine, only with a 300 I-6. :D

Are there pics of this truck anywhere you can link to?

Thanks

Thanks guys, it may be air but i dont feal like it is. As soon as I get my shop in a better state (clean) I will try bleading it again. I do know however that the conector for the zf is larger and I had to modify the line to make the conection.(Exactly like repairing high psi fuel line) So if that dosnt fix the problem I will try to source the parts to install the master from a F-250. Thanks again. Sorry I dont have pics up yet, or a site for that matter. As soon as i do and get a little further along I will let you all know. I am kind of like a proud parent now with it out in the yard for the world to see.

i ordered a brand new hydraulic line for a 98 ranger for my swap and it plugged right in to the slave on my zf. and even had enough reach even tho i have a 3" body lift.
