Hello, after losing OD after a engine change I started working on fixing some error codes. I changed the ECT, TPS and th VSS. I now notice a difference between D and OD with a downshift feeling when going from OD to D, but still I do not belive the converter is locking up as the rpms are still around 3000 @ 65mph. I tried the 50 mph test with a tap of the breaks, and could not feel the TC disengage. I checked the connector on the tranny (lower 3 wire one) and received 12v at the red wire while in KOEO. The only error code I'm getting now is 629. Also when I did a "Wiggle Test" with my code reader, I got an constant audio tone as soon as I turned the key to the on position. P.s. how do you chech the continuity of the solenoids ? do I have to drop the pan for this.
You guys have been a great help so far, and I thank you.
Fluid is full and cherry red, tranny rebuilt by AAmco about 20,000 ago (est)

The TCC solenoid code is just like the 3-4 shift solenoid code: It's only set when there is a significant failure in the circuit (See your other thread).
You can check the continuity of the solenoid easily enough at the connector at the transmission.
