I have an 04 Explorer with a Ford Code Alarm System that I didn't know worked b/c I bought the car used. I have been driving my car for a year and a half and all of a sudden when I went to start the car one day the alarm started going nuts! It would turn off when I used the kill switch under the dash, but now it won't start at all. WHAT DO I DO?

If the alarm went nuts (it seems like they ALL do, eventually), you'll need to either 1.) install a new unit ("brain") or 2.) start unwiring it all and put it back to stock.

I say go buy a new unit that has the same plugs/pin-out as the one installed. That will be the easier way and you get a better alarm.

How do I make my car start? Will it mess something up if I take out the alarm? I don't need a new system, I just want my car to start!!!
