My "Check Engine" light came on today.

I pulled a P1400, which I read is probably the DPFE.

But I couldn't find any literature on this code:
P0010 "A" Camshaft Position - Actuator Circuit (Bank 1)

Where is this sensor? which side of the engine is bank 1?

If you have the 4.0L SOHC engine, the camshaft position sensor is located near the front of the driver's side valve cover.

Thanks IZwack :salute:

If it is cheap enough I won't waste the time at the dealer. Train and cab fair to and from dealer is like $25 each way if I had to leave it there.

Its easy enough alright, one bolt and one electrical connector :D

My truck must have the flu. Its latest code from the first ones I pulled a few days ago is P0100 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit.

My first parts are in route from Rockauto. I am hoping something else more devious is not wrong and the latest code is just in relation to the others and will go away when I fix DPFE and cam sensor.

It can be found just to the left of your throttle body about 3 inches in front of the firewall. All you have to do is disconnect electrical connector and pull it free from 2 rubber hoses. Just wiggle it free and don't pull to hard or you might kink the metal lines the rubber hoses are attached to.

This is found on your drivers side valve cover. Its just forward of the air intake manifold. its easier to unbolt the unit then you will have room to handle the connector. use a screw driver and pry the clip off. Clean the hole the senor goes into carefully so no debris falls into valve train. Reconnect connector and retaining clip and reinstall.

My truck is a V6.4.0. It is different on the V8

Did replacement with battery Negative cable disconnected. Started truck and let it run for ten minutes to warm up. Shut her down and started her up 3 more times. Scanned for codes with scanguage : none. Drove around for 10 minutes parked and scanned for codes. No check engine light or codes.
