Hi Guys,

I'm a long time lurker here, second time poster. Anyways, a little background on my problem. In december of last year, my expy broke down and stranded me. Long story short, i got everything fixed at our family mechanic (GM trained & certified......but definitely a great mechanic). It turned out to be a worn out fuel pump due to a shorted wire. I picked it up all fixed about a week and a half later....but with the service engine soon light on (was never on before) but he assured me it should go off eventually, and if it didnt just get the code cleared out at an autozone or whatever. It never went off but seeing how the truck was running perfectly fine and I am good on my inspection until november, i didnt worry about it. However, since about mid-July, i have been getting horrible horrible gas mileage, probably about 10-13 MPG. I have been very busy (just started a new job!) and couldnt get to it until now. Took the truck to autozone on Tuesday and they pulled a P0193, and cleared it. Drove all the way home no issues, fuel consumption seemed to be back to normal so i didnt worry about it. Started the truck the next morning to go to work, service engine soon light back on and same horrible gas mileage. Looked around the forums and seeing as how the code relates to the fuel pump/pressure reg/fuel rail pressor sensor I estimated that it was the pressure sensor causing the issues. I bought one today and put it in (those back 2 bolts are something from hell) started the truck up and ran great. Remembering the light coming up the second time after a clear, it did the same thing again. AFTER i replaced the pressure sensor. Went back to autozone and got the same code P0193. If all three of the components were replaced (pump & pressure reg and now fuel rail pressure sensor by me) what in the world could be causing this code to keep coming up?? I cleaned all the electrical connections and was very sure to clean everything before putting it back on (intake manifold, NEW gaskets), everything. Any help would be appreciated here guys, I am all out of ideas. Thank you so much in advance!
