Service Engine Soon light comes on I have Auto Zone pull the code, it's 1400 Call dealership and find it's ERG System Low Current Flow. Check all the threads here and find that replacing the DPFE Sensor is the fix. Well it wasn't. Stayed off for about a day and back on. Any ideas? EGR Valve it's self or something else? Thanks in advance, "pear"

P1400 Differential Pressure Feedback Electronic Sensor circuit Low Voltage

That's your DPFE sensor. Now, you need to check the wiring on the sensor. Try to find a wiring diagram for that sensor and see where your ground is. You may have a bad or loose ground that isn't allowing enough flow to occur. Where did you buy your sensor?

Purchased at Auto Zone...Think I bought a bad one? "pear"

Did you happen to find a fix for this? I too also bought one at autozone and after a few days it the p1400 code came back on.

Yes i did ! I took the "X" in to have an oil change at my local Ford dealer. They saw the light pulled the code said I had a bad DPFE, found it was covered under extended emissions warranty. They replaced and never had the light again........I assume Auto Zone has a batch of bad DPFE's..."pear"

DPFE AutoZone Vs. Dealer.

Our SES light started comming on yesterday we took it into our local Ford Dealer and they did the diagnostic and pulled the codes and said our DPFE, O2 and IAC all needed replaced... and said non of these sensors were covered under the extended warranty we purchased a year ago when we bought the car, it was gonna cost us $501.00 for them to replace these three sensors, the DPFE alone at the dealer was gonna be $173.00 for part and labor, $98 for the part and $75 for the labor, HOW UNREAL!?!?! I replaced the O2 sensor SES came back on... Now will do DPFE, if still comes back on will do IAC.......Autozone has the DPFE for $29.99 priced it today and I can do it myself...They had the O2 for $40.00 and IAC for $54.00 I guess I could call Pepboys and a few other parts stores and check prices as well. Hopefully wont get a bad DPFE...fingers crossed.

Hey Pear, just had to say this.... I see you are from Vienna WV.... I was born and raised in Ripley WV.... have lived here in Texas for the last 8 years.

Hope I dont get ahold of a bad DPFE at Autozone, the deal is outrageous. Have a good one!

Trying to fix this same problem on my 02 Sport and not having much luck. I already replaced the DPFE sensor and no luck. All the other items seem to check out for the correct voltage as well as resistance across the sensor. My only thought is to replace the Valve itself but I have heard that the valves are rare to actually go bad.
Anyone have new ideas for me to fix this system.

Thanks

Thank you all for your help with my engine light code 1400 for my 4 litre v6 engine. I now have some direction to start my troubleshooting for the problem. I will update when I have some success with solving the problem. Thanks. John
