If I were to buy my own code reader, which would you recommend?

The one Autozone used looked like this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Actron-CP9135..._1?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1210442136&sr=1-1

And, is there a book with the codes, or does my manual have codes, or???

Thanks :D

oh and it seems like its running a "little" better after changing the filter and adding the cleaner. We are going to try clearing the code today and switching the wires...

I would suggest forgoing the code reader and get a scanner instead since is a much more versatile tool.

I like the offerings from Auto X Ray ( http://www.autoxray.com/ ).

Good luck ....

Thanks :D I was told you couldnt even buy these things, so not sure what to look for now that I know you can! :)

Al,

Do these read 4x4 & transmission & ABS codes? How much are they???

Thanks!

To do what you want it will take a rather expensive scanner.

Most scanners just read engine data.

I use one from Auto X Ray ( http://www.autoxray.com/ ). It serves me well.
