Hello all,

i wonder if you can help, i want to get a code reader and i am not to sure what one to get. i have searched some old threads and have come accross one from Howard suggesting the following site http://www.gendandirect.co.uk/category_60.html what one do i need?

Also does anyone have a list of the codes or point me where to get a list?

and last of all where is the connector?

Any ODBII reader will work (ford connection). But a proper scanner can give you a lot more information. If you have a laptop the software tool/connection lead offers the most flexible solution. If all you want is the code then you can get the cheapest available.

A list of codes for you. http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/ford/

Many thanks for the quick reply, i think i will just get a code reader for starters

i brought mine through ebay it comes with all the software (scanmaster) needed also does a lot more than just read codes and i paid about £30 it did come from japan so had to wait a while also it does most cars except renault it helped me discover a faulty o2 sensor that was not coming up as an engine code

Where abouts is the connector?
