Hello everyone I hope someone can help me out with this problem. The other day I was driving and the explorer just fell flat on its face and stalled. It is a 1999 Ford explorer EB 4.0 SOHC. Well I started it back up and it ran fine but as soon as I put it into gear and go it stalls out. If I put it in reverse it runs fine. Yes I drove it 2 miles in reverse to get it home! LOL. The week before it kinda ran rough and figured it just needed a fuel filter but I guess not. The check engine light came on and I checked the codes and their were 13 in all. The codes as follows,
P1747
P0141
P0743
P0135
P0750
P0755
P0760
P0765
P1451
P1409
P0155
P0161
P1409
Can someone please tell me or help me out? I know what the codes mean but just not sure if maybe the computer crapped out or what? Any help would be great.
Thanks so much, L

If you google them one at a time you will get tons of info.

The P1747 code is a trany solenoid failure code that pertains to the epc circuit. When this circuit fails, the vehicle will go to a limp mode or harsh shifting including hesitation and stalling. That is one of the problems with the vehicle stalling. There could be more in the bunch.

I'd go through them and go after the serious one's first. You have another code that's for the torque converter failure. Some of these codes could get pricey to fix if it's anything other than failed solonoids. I don't think I've ever seen this many codes at once.

Thanks for the reply. And like I said they just all happened at one time. It seems as if the computer crapped out. I have never had any problems like this ever! I was hoping someone may have had a problem like this before. Ugh if I cant figure it out I guess the dealer it is....

I believe there are one or two solonoid failures that could kick multiple codes. As Budwich stated, check all the fuses and if they're good it might be best to do a little research to determine what problems can set off multiple codes.
