...i thought i would post this to help others and stop some confusion when people ask about coilovers for their stock 4x2, stock 4x4, or 4x4 with stock 2 1/2" lift...these are gabriel coilovers to only meat the demand of bed loads...i run these with aal's for my daily driver as it is used to haul tools...i take these off and put my procomps on for the weekend...the aal's stay on due to the really soft springs...i like these coilovers on the road even when the truck is empty, as they seem to take away the bouncy bed...also with the aal's, they seem to absorb before the leafs deflect so it smooths out the aal ride...i would not recommend them for offroad especially if you have aal's...way to rough a ride...
again, these are only intended for heavy loading and i found they are also helpful for another inch of rear lift...these are available over the counter at parts stores for about $80 a pair and they are made by gabriel...
as for the other coilovers, the ones most of the guys have on their modified trucks, and i have very limited knowledge of them nor am i the person to ask about them...they i believe start at $650 and go up to whatever you want to pay for them...they have to be fabricated to your truck...they serve a totally different purpose...they are part of a whole suspension package, either kit's or custom...
i hope this thread will help the many of newbies looking for either of the both types of coilovers....
