I recently have verified that my blend door actuator is bad, it wasnt working at all, now it stays engaged all the time so i have unhooked it and left in a position that the door is shut so that maximum air can blow through my defrost. I also have the problem with the diverter, although i do not know if it is the arm broke where it changes or if it is the door inside, i havent had a chance to look yet. what could be causing the cold air to come through the passeneger side floor compartment?
2004 xlt...
Thanks
Ryan

2003 with cold air in passenger floor

My 2003 XLT does this, too. Riding along, cold air comes in to the pasenger floor from somewhere. The heat works properly on all settings, and the drivers side is comfortable, but the heat can't compete with the cold air on the passengers side. On a long trip, frostbite is sure to set in on unsuspecting feet. What is going on!?

You probably have broken recirculation door. If you drop the glovebox and look into the box you can see if the door broke off. It will be laying on the blower motor.

I dropped the glovebox and looked in. I see the blower housing with a rectangular box on top of it. Is this where the recirculation door is? How do you see in it? Thanks.

Can you see the box on the engine side of the firewall? If you can the door is broken. I cant find any good pics.
