Compass Issue

I have had this issue since I've bought the SUV. I've replaced the compass several times with used ones I can guarantee work and I can't get it to come up in the cluster as registering. Some times it comes up right direction when I start the SUV but goes away in 10 seconds to the two dashes. Is there anyone that can help me fix this problem it's been bugging the hell out of me for two years.

If you go into setup does it give you the option to calibrate it? You'll need to be in an empty parking lot to do it though

I know it has the option. I just don't have the owners manual for the car to know how to fix small things like this

Read this post had same problem..... Wiggle the wire going into rear view mirror.
